timeline on projects
The Safe Roads Measure "I"
expenditure plan contains an
ambitious blueprint of roadway
corridor improvements designed to
keep the regional economy moving
over the next 26 years.
For road reconstruction and
maintenance, the Safe Roads
measure would bring:
California City $3.2 million for
road maintenance over its 20-year
lifespan, or almost $160,000 annually
and another $12.9 million.for the
unincorporated area around the city.
Arvin $4.94 million, or almost
$250,000 annually, and another $11
million. for the unincorporated area
including Lamont.
Frazier Park $3.68 million, or
about $184,000 annually.
Indian Wells Valley $15.9 million,
or $795,000 annually. About $12.2
million would go to Ridgecrest alone.
Kern River Valley $12.3 million
for road maintenance, or about
$619,095 annually.
City of Bakersfield $159 million,
or almost $8 million annually. The
unincorporated area around the city
limits would be eligible for another $28
million.
Roughly $14.8 million would go
to Delano and $3.67 million to
McFarland; Shafter receives $8.1
million and Wasco $4.8 million, while
$32.5 million goes to the
unicorporated county.
Maricopa $1,424,354, while Taft
would receive $2.44 million, and
another. $9.58 million for the
unincorporated area near the cities.
Tehachapi $3.32 million, or
about $166,000 annually, and
anotehr $7.5 million for the
unincorporated area around the city.
